['Sup, Johto. Not a feed you're used to seeing, is it? It shouldn't be, what with how much of a recluse it's owner is. The fact he's been sick for the better part of the past few days hasn't been helping much, but something is.

What is that? A newly evolved Dragonair who is none too pleased with his trainer being such a hermit. There's the rumbling sound of a growl mixed with a "Draaaaa...." as the feed clicks on to show a birds-eye view of Hitsugaya staring up at something. What is that something? His Dragonair up a tree with his Pokégear. And yes, that is his eye twitching.]

Hyourinmaru, get down here. Now.

[Another growly "Draaaaaa" and Hitsugaya seems to sigh. He moves towards the tree to climb up, and the feed shifts as Hyou slithers down the tree and passes his trainer. Once he's on the ground, the feed shifts to show Hitsugaya glaring from halfway up the tree-trunk. This is not going his way at all, and he puts his head to the bark as the feed cuts out. Dragon: 1, Boy: 0]

For some reason, he looked so much taller on the tree. ]

[Hyou bobs his head in response to Watanuki's thanks, then watches as Hitsu pockets the gear and nods himself. Manners, boy. Your Grandmother taught you better than this.]

Watanuki. [ He steps back a little bit and bows properly. It wakes Hanabi up, and Hisui has to clutch his shoulder. ]

You have a very beautiful pokemon, Hitsugaya-san. What kind is he?

[Someone who uses honorifics, and that bow...it's a familiar sight, but Hitsu doesn't dwell on it. He instead gives Hyou a glance from the corner of his eye, ignoring how proud all thirteen feet of dragon looks at the moment.]

His species is called Dragonair. As for what he is, the Pokédex classifies him as a dragon. [A momentary pause. Dragons are bigger where he's from.] And I'm inclined to believe that.

Ah--I'm sorry, you're not Japanese? [ You know, Watanuki, not everyone gives as much of a shit about the Kojiki as Yuuko does, Japanese or not. ]

It's just a legend...dragons and the tidal jewels, usually represented as pearls.

I am, but I've never heard of that legend before. [Though, in a way, it does make some sense. Not that pearls are connected to ice. He shakes his head a bit; this is going to be interesting...]

They aren't legend where I come from. The dragon I know has never mentioned a connection to any sort of jewel, and we spoke often before I arrived here.

[Hitsugaya pauses in thought for a moment, thinking on how to word this without giving too much information. Trust issues? What trust issues? It's just hard to remember days when the original Hyourinmaru wasn't there.]
