[Good morning, Johto and Kanto. Enjoy your bobbing view of the Saffron City Pokémon Center for a few seconds there, because that's all the quiet you're getting before there's a clatter. Something was carrying the gear, but now it's dropped it and there's a quietly frustrated sound that can only come from a Drifloon. Did it? Apparently so, if the little balloon pokémon appearing on the screen says anything about it. That and a hand, picking the gear up from where it fell which shifts the feed to show Hitsugaya working in the back room, sorting paperwork.]

Try something lighter next time. It'll be easier.

[The Drifloon coos, but doesn't seem to take the advice to heart because it floats over, starting to tug on Hitsugaya's arm in an attempt to lift him instead, but this doesn't work well at all. It barely manages to even lift his arm, no matter how hard it tries. ]

That's not going to work, you know.

[The Drifloon makes a sound that can only be described as sad before floating off, leaving his trainer to continue his work. The feed continues for another minute or so like this, but the the Drifloon soon returns and has something held in it's tendrils. Hitsugaya doesn't look up, and this proves to be his undoing as the Drifloon cries out right before whatever it was holding is thrown right at Hitsugaya's head. It impacts, and he jolts before scrambling to catch it in his hand. What is it? A rock. A very muddy rock if the state of his hair is anything to go by. So much for it being white now.

The good news is it's a small rock, barely a tap on the head, but enough to get his attention and make him give the Drifloon a very stern look. It seems to be laughing, though. Someone has a sense of humor.]

He's very sorry, but he can't help but laugh at this. (It's okay, doesn't look like the rock is big enough to hurt anyone.) ]

Your dodging technique needs some work.

[Yeaaah...not happening. He can dodge, you know....kind of. yeah, okay, not really. Not that he cares.]

It isn't as if I've had much to practice with, Ise.

[Almost amused? At least someone is, because Hitsu's not. Sadly.]

Frustrated it couldn't carry me away, actually. This isn't the first time it's tried.

[Laugh away, Hughes. You're getting a look in return for it...though the attempt at sternness behind it is kind of ruined by the mud in his hair and how young he looks. (Though a rock that small wouldn't have hurt, anyway. Good thing about the Drifloon being so tiny is it can't lift more than pebbles.)]

By being too heavy for it to lift? I fail to see how that ends with my asking for a rock thrown at my head.

I believe your Pokemon took it as a challenge~

[Headshake. He will never understand the way some people think.] And what makes you say that? It isn't as if there aren't other things to throw in this room.

[ Was about to say something until that last bit with the rock. See icon. ]

... Would you have rather it thrown something else?

[At least she's not laughing yet, though. That's a plus. He did notice the face, though.]

What?

[The feed shifts a bit in response, showing that other than the pebble and the gear, the only it could have thrown is...paper.]

From in here? Yes. Cleaning it would have been simpler.

I don't think he likes you.

More likely he doesn't like that he couldn't lift me like he wanted to. It's not the first time he's tried.

Eh? Why would he want to lift you?

[shrug] I'm not sure, but he's been trying since he hatched. It might just be something his species does, for all I've been able to find out.

Maybe. He's a balloon, after all.

[ A long pause. ] ...I know you're at work right now, so let me know when your hands aren't tied.

[A balloon that takes great pleasure in attempting to lift his trainer again, no matter how hard he fails.

Hitsugaya, on the other hand, looks up at what has to be a clock on the wall, nods, then looks back at the screen.]

Twenty minutes.

[And then the screen goes black from his end. No fuss, no muss, no feed. Yep. Sorry, Misaki; he just hung up on you...not that it stays dead for long. Sure enough, twenty minutes later it's picking back up and he's outside.]

What is it?

Oh, I don't know. It could've thrown that large piles of paper over there!

[ And then you'd have paper everywhere... ]

[ She's a little alarmed when he hangs up. It's sudden and unexpected, and he left before she could even say a word. Normally she would want to make a comment about how rude it was to just hang up on her like that... But in this instance, she doesn't want to add on any more problems.

So she waits, patiently, and finds something else to occupy her time. When he does call her back, she scrambles to fish her gear out of her pocket. ]

Mm. [ She knows what to say, but apologizing isn't easy. She looks down, her brow furrowing in light frustration before she looks back into the feed, looking him right in the eye. ]

Sorry, Hitsugaya.

Perhaps you should direct it's attention to carrying other things.

[ Rangiku begins to roar with laughter at the Drifloon's actions. ]

Heehee! Taichou~! You never told me you had this delightful little pokemon~! Mind giving me some information~? [ She does sound exceptionally upbeat! There's something about the antics of a slacker that are so endearing to her.

Wonder why? ]

[She did say to let him know when his hands weren't tied and that's on his break and someone would have had to hang up first anyway...he just gets thing done. Doing them politely isn't his style, sadly.

He is good at listening, though. Even if he can't make sense of things right away. Sorry? What is she on about--oh. Right. The argument. The one that he still needs to apologize about...somehow.]

Paper is still easier to clean than mud, even if's torn to shreds.

[yes, well, he's used to that one. So used to it he doesn't have any trouble with it at all....most of the time.]

[Of course she's laughing. He shouldn't be surprised...and he isn't when the Drifloon's "laughter" joins Rangiku's. He just shakes his head.]

His egg was a gift from Ise and he hatched a week afterwards. What else do you want to know.

[Rangiku getting along with slackers? Hmm...question of the age.]
