oo2 [Video/Action for Goldenrod] {backdated to sunset}

--can't believe this...where's that map...

[Evening, Johto. It's about sunset as the video comes on, though it's pretty much by total accident. The owner of this gear, one obviously rumpled and tired Toushiro Hitsugaya, doesn't even notice the thing is recording as he tries to get the map from his bag. Of course, it's useless in the back alleys of Goldenrod, which is where he appears to, and judging from the expression on the face of his Golduck standing behind him, they're lost.

Yep. His sense of direction in a town this large that he's never been to, is absolute crap and he knows it if the expression on his face says anything about that.]

We'll have to turn back. Come on.

[He turns to leave the alleyway and retrace their steps, Golduck right behind him and the flashes of orange fur at his ankle showing his Growlithe is right at his side. But then the puppy stops suddenly, turning to the entrance of another alleyway that the sun is just shining through, growls, and darts into it before her trainer can grab her.]

Hey---tch.

[He chases after his Growlithe, only to stop when he gets halfway to her and appears to see something from the corner of his eye. He turns his head, but before either he or anyone watching can see what caught his attention, a cream streak darts out from the shadows and his Growlithe starts barking again.

Of course, it's too late to do anything about that, and Hitsugaya loses his footing as the streak, obviously some kind of quadrupedal pokémon, lashes out at his face. The gear goes flying from his hand and skitters across the ground, turning off upon impact with something but not before there's a tremendous crash, the sound of breaking glass, and a surprised cry from the young man in the alley. Seems trouble follows him wherever he goes.]

[Stitch's still laughing lowly as he enters the low, orange sunlight that still lingers. He's grinning widely, two rows of sharp, yellow teeth proudly displayed.]

[He's just 4.9 feet tall, and while that does lower the intimidation value quite a bit, he still doesn't look like one from the friendly bunch. He's unarmed, but the teeth and his abnormaly long and sharp nails looks like they would be quite unpleasant.]

[And there's a Seviper towering behind him, bright red tongue flicking in and out.]

[action]

[identity profile] freezetheskies.livejournal.com 2011-09-04 03:59 am (UTC)(link)
[Stitch might be only 4.9 feet tall, but this one over here is only four foot four. Any inches on him is an advantage for Stitch right now, especially since Hitsugaya is forced to hold his Growlithe back from charging that Seviper the way she charged the Meowth just moments before. This...might get ugly.

Not that Hitsugaya's intimidated any, really. He's faced worse. ...Granted that was with a sword and powers and---okay, he's a tad concerned. The last thing he wants is to get into a fight when he's already banged up and lost.]

I don't want any trouble. Will you let us leave or will we have to fight?

[action]

[identity profile] usedsuperpower.livejournal.com 2011-09-05 10:52 pm (UTC)(link)
[It probably will |: ]

[The Seviper hisses menacingly at the little Growlithe, but obedinently stays put.]

Goobaja. [That is, until Stitch says that. The Seviper slithers smoothly across the ground, lifting his head high to appear more threatening. His red fangs are gleaming in the sunlight, and you can practically see the venom oozing from them.]

[action]

[identity profile] freezetheskies.livejournal.com 2011-09-06 04:29 am (UTC)(link)
[It certainly appears that way.

Especially with the Seviper looming over them all and the dim lighting growing ever fainter as time wears on. The street lights don't really reach down here, and getting trapped in a dark, dead end alleyway with this thing between them won't be good.

So it's probably understandable that the Golduck that was behind the boy on the ground just moments before is now moving to stand in front of him, attempting to use all five feet of blue duck to look intimidating as he hisses and quacks. Nothing like a Seviper's hiss, but still something. Hopefully it works.]

[action]

[identity profile] usedsuperpower.livejournal.com 2011-09-06 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)
[The Seviper's red eyes gleam, and before Stitch has even uttered the command Venoshock, he is lunging at his new, more formidable opponent. Mouth open wide, fangs nearly glowing purple and ready to sink down into blue flesh.]

[action]

[identity profile] freezetheskies.livejournal.com 2011-09-07 05:01 am (UTC)(link)
[Okay, so the hissing didn't work at all. Time for plan b, that being a good old Confusion to the face because Golduck is standing his ground while his trainer gets ready to bolt; no sense in staying to fight if he can avoid it.

Sadly, however, Golduck doesn't have the best training in the world; it's highly likely that the Confusion is only going to stun the Seviper if it does anything at all. But, hey, all's fair when getting attacked. Or something like that.]

[action]

[identity profile] usedsuperpower.livejournal.com 2011-09-08 10:45 am (UTC)(link)
[But Psychic is Super Effective on poison.]

[It stops mid-attack, clearly disoriented and cringes back as the Confusion attack sets in full force. He's still in place for a while, wobbling a bit before he shakes it off.]

[This time he quickly slithers closer to the Golduck, making quick, sharp turns to avoid any further attacks.]

[action]

[identity profile] freezetheskies.livejournal.com 2011-09-08 10:56 am (UTC)(link)
[Unlike the Water Gun which is being aimed at the Seviper to make sure it can't attack Golduck's trainer. Golduck's aim leaves much to be desired, however, and besides a possible glancing squirt to the blade at the tail end of the snake, all he manages to do is make the floor incredibly slippery with water everywhere. The dimming light isn't helping any, so with a quiet word from his trainer he switches to something else.

That something being a rather loud Screech attack; it might not be able to harm or even confuse the target, but any distraction is a welcome one as Hitsugaya puts his back to a wall and prepares to run, trying to find Stitch in the darkness so there's no collision when he bolts.]

[action]

[identity profile] usedsuperpower.livejournal.com 2011-09-08 10:40 pm (UTC)(link)
[The Seviper advances, only slightly deterred by the Water Gun, and he has no problem slithering across the soaked ground. At least not when it's straight forward. With lightning speed, he lunges at the Golduck, seemingly unaffected by the screech, and wraps himself around the Water Pokémon, squeezing firmly.]

[Meanwhile, Stitch is still hiding in the safety of the shadow, but keeping an eye out for the Golduck's trainer. He might have something of use on him, after all.]

[action]

[identity profile] freezetheskies.livejournal.com 2011-09-09 05:01 am (UTC)(link)
[The thing about getting close enough to wrap around Golduck is he's now close enough to get slammed by a Zen Headbutt, which is precisely what Golduck is gearing up to do. Of course, an ill-timed squeeze is entirely likely to break Golduck's concentration and cancel that attack before it can hit, so there is that issue.

An eye out for a trainer who's shorter than most and also sticking to the darkness? Not the best idea. However, Stitch will most likely hear him as he runs across a large puddle left over from Golduck's Water Gunning as he heads for the mouth of the alleyway. Whether or not he's got anything of use on him is still up in the air, however.]

[action]

[identity profile] usedsuperpower.livejournal.com 2011-09-10 11:00 am (UTC)(link)
[The Seviper is more holding firm to keep the Golduck in place and to get in a hit rather than actually squeezing to harm. Teeth is able to take action even without his trainer to command him. He opens his mouth wide, among the two huge red fangs also displaying countless of tiny sharp teeth, all of which are turning black as the Seviper readies a Crunch.]

[There's a telltale red flash, followed by a strange, etheral sound, and the next moment a Mismagius is darting towards Hitsugaya with Stitch in tow. Hear that cackling laughter? They're not gonna let him get away easily.]

[action]

[identity profile] freezetheskies.livejournal.com 2011-09-11 04:04 am (UTC)(link)
[They're both readying attacks, but Golduck might just have the slightest advantage since Seviper's not squeezing to harm. The gem on his forehead is glowing brightly as he moves to headbutt the snake, and if Seviper wants to avoid the hit, he's going to have to let go and slither away quickly, because it's coming down fast and it's going to hurt if it hits.

While an easy escape would have been nice, Hitsugaya never expected it to work out that way. There's a reason he's got his Growlithe in his arms as he skids to a stop, and one word has her spitting embers all around. It's not likely to hit Stitch or his Mismagius, but that wasn't the idea. It's easier to dodge an attack when you can actually see it coming, even if it's in dim firelight and shadows, right?]

[action]

[identity profile] usedsuperpower.livejournal.com 2011-09-13 12:54 am (UTC)(link)
[Oh it hits alright. Good and hard and the Seviper is nearly down for the count. He's struck down to the ground, losing his grip on the Golduck enough for it to be able to fight itself out of his coils.]

[Meanwhile, the Mismagius emerges out of the fire, having successfully located the trainer and his Growlithe, and with eyes and mouth open wide she fires a Confuse Ray.]

[action]

[identity profile] freezetheskies.livejournal.com 2011-09-13 05:10 am (UTC)(link)
[And fight himself out of them is exactly what he does, falling flat on his face for a moment before he scrambles to get to his trainer before the Mismagius can. Not that he actually can, but it doesn't stop him from firing a Water Pulse at the ghost to get her away.

Of course, this also has the ill-effect of putting out the fires that Growlithe just got going, and with the puppy confused and trainer disoriented from the Confuse Ray, this might not be the best thing. If Stitch wants to get at Hitsugaya's stuff, now's his chance. Not that there's actually much in that bag; he hasn't stocked up on supplies lately and has nothing of value in there.]

[action]

[identity profile] usedsuperpower.livejournal.com 2011-09-13 10:45 am (UTC)(link)
[With an indignant hiss, the Mismagius turns to face the Golduck. She zeroes in on her attacker, eyes lighting up as she opens her mouth and lets out a horrifying wail that soon enough it transcends into a high-pitched Perish Song]

Stitch snatches the bag with way more force than necessary, shoving Hitsugaya aside to make matters more difficult for him, then turns tail to retrieve his nearly-knocked out and clearly disoriented Seviper.]

[action]

[identity profile] freezetheskies.livejournal.com 2011-09-13 10:59 am (UTC)(link)
[The high pitch of the Perish Song is enough to get Golduck to slam his webbed hands over where his ears have to be, but when his trainer hits the ground that idea is gone and he's...angry. Very angry.

Sorry, Stitch, but there is a hissing Golduck now launching a good amount of water at you in an attempt to knock you down. Will it work? Hard to say; it's hard to see and there isn't much pressure behind all that wet stuff, but the ground is still pretty slippery. If it hits, it might be enough...maybe. If his trainer can get up and get his bag back by then, that is. Not that it's going so well, that idea. Wet floors and disorientation don't mix, after all.]

[action]

[identity profile] usedsuperpower.livejournal.com 2011-09-15 07:09 am (UTC)(link)
[The Seviper is called back, and thus saved from the Perish Song, just before the surprise water attack hits.

Stitch's literally sweeped of his feet, the water already covering the ground not helping in the least. He slips and falls and drops the bag, and it's pushed even farther away by the torrent of water. He's brought quite a bit over the ground by the water as well, trying and failing to get up.

The battle will be over in fifteen minutes if those affected by the Perish Song will remain out, and the Mismagius knows this. This does not stop her from angrily rushing headfirst at the Golduck, charging up a Shadow Ball.]

[action]

[identity profile] freezetheskies.livejournal.com 2011-09-15 08:14 am (UTC)(link)
[With both trainers on the ground and not really in the shape to give out orders, Golduck is just going to attempt to dodge that Shadow Ball. Not that it works since he's got to mind the slippery ground and Mismagius doesn't, so he'll just be getting slammed into the wall or the dumpster, whatever happens to be closer. On the brightside, with Mismagius that close, hitting her with a high pressure Water Gun shouldn't be hard. You know. Provided she doesn't phase out or anything, like some ghosts can.

The Growlithe puppy, on the other hand, has recovered enough of her wits to charge at Stitch in defense of her trainer. It seems for a moment that she's going to bite him, but instead she bolts past and grabs HItsugaya's bag, darting back to her trainer before the confusion can kick in again Not that she manages, what with it sending her tumbling head over paws and knocking the boy back down from where he'd been on his hands on knees, trying to shake off his own confusion. But, like Stitch, he's still trying to get up so they can get out of here. He seems to be having better luck, too, what with having a wall behind him for when the disorientation finally wears off.]

[action]

[identity profile] usedsuperpower.livejournal.com 2011-09-18 11:19 pm (UTC)(link)
[Considering her specialities lies in ranged and special attacks, Shriek is clever enough to keep her distance, and luckily she is fast enough to dodge the Water Gun. However, she doesn't stick to her keep-a-distance strategy and phases out, only to phase back in right in the Golduck's face, glaring at him with the Meanest of Looks she can muster. Have fun trying to escape now.]

[All the while, Stitch's been struggling to get up, but the near constant flow of water makes it hard, leaving him slipping every now and then. He's half-way, on his knees and keeping an eye out for the bag, but getting on his feet seems to be a more difficult task than he ever could have imagined. When the Growlithe darts past, Stitch throws himself at her, grabbing for the bag and succeeding in latching his hard, claw-like nails and tearing up a big hole in it.]

[action]

[identity profile] freezetheskies.livejournal.com 2011-09-19 06:13 am (UTC)(link)
[Oh, he wasn't going anywhere to begin with! Especially not now, since even with the Mean Look, he's just too angry with this crazy ghost to turn tail. Have a Water Pulse right to your face, Shriek; that is the problem with getting too close to an angry duck who's already forgotten about the Perish Song.

Meanwhile, through the big hole in the cloth, everything in the bag spills out. There's really nothing of value in there; half full bottles of soap, the trainer's manual, an empty bento box, a couple potions, very little money, and hardly enough of anything else to make up for all this trouble. Stitch just had to jump one of the most unsupplied trainers in the area tonight, and unless he wants a four sizes too small for him Dragon Tamer outfit, well, he's outta luck in that respect.]

[action]

[identity profile] usedsuperpower.livejournal.com 2011-09-21 10:42 pm (UTC)(link)
As the lightweight she is, being a ghost and all, the Water Pulse catapults the Mismagius across the street, but before she violently crashes into the wall, she phases through it, momentarily disappearing from the scene entirely.]

[Stitch, on the other hand, is up on his feet by now, holding one hand against the wall to steady himself. He's disappointed, not to mention angry at this pathetic loot and it won't even nearly cover what he had to go through to get it. But he won't leave empty handed. Confident in that he won't slip, he sets off for the various items scattered across the ground, zeroing in on the money and the potions]

[action]

[identity profile] freezetheskies.livejournal.com 2011-09-23 04:44 am (UTC)(link)
[With Shriek out of the scene for the moment, Golduck is finally able to get a move on and rush to his trainer's aid. Sadly, the still confused Growlithe puppy is also doing that by rushing at Stitch, and they crash into each other in comedic fashion. With their trainer just now picking himself up off the floor, they're pretty much out of the running and Stitch has free reign to get the things and go.

Not that it's worth it, really; 150P isn't going to buy him much, and it's unlikely those potions will make up for the damage done to his team. Not the most successful haul he's had, that's for sure.]

[action] so it's alright that Stitch steals the stuff?

[identity profile] usedsuperpower.livejournal.com 2011-09-26 11:47 pm (UTC)(link)
[When Shriek emerges from the wall again, her eyes glowing red in utter rage for a moment, she then falters. She blinks, midly confused as to why she's wobbling when she remembers. The Perish Song. Five minutes left. She grins widely as she steadies herself and her eyes light up red again, yet she doesn't ready a new attack.]

[Stitch snatches the money and the potions off of the ground, stuffing whatever fits into his pocket. Then, infuriated beyond all reason (because why would you even fight that hard for something so useless?) Stitch forcefully kicks the remaining items in Hitsugaya's direction.]

[action]perfectly fine~ and can I just say that this has been awesome? :3

[identity profile] freezetheskies.livejournal.com 2011-09-27 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
[There wouldn't have been much to attack, really; Golduck is wobbling himself, and the Growlithe pup isn't a threat either. Confusion is a nasty mistress, after all.

It's more the principle of the thing that had him fighting so hard, really. He's a scrappy one, though once he realizes what Stitch has just stuffed into his pockets, all he does is give the other trainer a very icy glare. That stuff isn't worth a fight, and he's got a team to pull together and get out of this alleyway before something else happens. No sense in picking a bigger fight that he's sure to lose. Especially with an opponent that furious.]

[action] aa yes I've enjoyed this immensely xD

[identity profile] usedsuperpower.livejournal.com 2011-09-28 11:41 pm (UTC)(link)
[Shriek keeps grinning as she's called back to her pokéball, on the brink of fainting being saved from the haunting echoes of the Perish Song.]

[Stitch is tempted to send out Thing, his Jumpluff, just to finish them off and pour salt in the wounds. But he doesn't, instead spitting and swearing furiously, both in english and his own alien tongue. He waves his fists around, baring his way-sharper-than-average teeth in a way to look intimidating, but still standing at a safe distance from the other.]
