freezetheskies: (don't be an idiot)
[Hello, Johto. Have another feed brought to you by Shiryuu-cam, only this time it's not as...excited as the last time and it's stable, keeping the focus on the counter of the Goldenrod Department store, which is pretty loaded down with supplies for what appears to be a long trip. Or just paranoid overstocking, as is the case. The cashier doesn't look happy, at any rate, and he slams the change down on the counter top as Hitsugaya reaches for it.]

"Kids shouldn't be buying this kind of stuff. Just take it and get out of here."

[Hitsugaya sighs, the look on his face saying that he's obviously used to this kind of thing but still annoyed at it, and he takes the bag before reaching for his change. No point in getting into an argument about it, after all. So he turns, ready to walk away like this didn't happen, but there's an issue.]

"You know, you really should treat paying customers with more respect than that."

[A large busted issue, to be precise. One who Hitsugaya practically rams right into, and the impact forces him back to the counter. The problem with being short as he is? He tends to hit his head on stuff that's lower for most people, and that includes shop counters. The hit dislodges Shiryuu from his shoulders and sends both Dratini and Gear to the ground with a clatter of plastic and a hiss from the Pokémon. The gear is still recording, and as Hitsugaya rubs the back of his head, Matsumoto continues to rip into the cashier.]

"I can't believe how rude the people working here are! Are you trying to take advantage of him?"

"...N-no..."

[Sensing that's enough, Matsumoto turns as if to lift Hitsugaya off the floor and yell at him, but he's already gotten back to his feet and is walking away. Of course, there'll be none of that and Matsumoto...squeals as she embraces him from behind.]

"Captain~! Oh, it's so good to see you!"

[He sputters, making a strangled noise in the back of his throat, but he doesn't pull away right away. He lets her hold on for a couple seconds before he attempts to get away, but Matsumoto is holding on too tight for that to work and the feed ends as he continues to struggle. It's just not his day.]

--can't believe this...where's that map...

[Evening, Johto. It's about sunset as the video comes on, though it's pretty much by total accident. The owner of this gear, one obviously rumpled and tired Toushiro Hitsugaya, doesn't even notice the thing is recording as he tries to get the map from his bag. Of course, it's useless in the back alleys of Goldenrod, which is where he appears to, and judging from the expression on the face of his Golduck standing behind him, they're lost.

Yep. His sense of direction in a town this large that he's never been to, is absolute crap and he knows it if the expression on his face says anything about that.]

We'll have to turn back. Come on.

[He turns to leave the alleyway and retrace their steps, Golduck right behind him and the flashes of orange fur at his ankle showing his Growlithe is right at his side. But then the puppy stops suddenly, turning to the entrance of another alleyway that the sun is just shining through, growls, and darts into it before her trainer can grab her.]

Hey---tch.

[He chases after his Growlithe, only to stop when he gets halfway to her and appears to see something from the corner of his eye. He turns his head, but before either he or anyone watching can see what caught his attention, a cream streak darts out from the shadows and his Growlithe starts barking again.

Of course, it's too late to do anything about that, and Hitsugaya loses his footing as the streak, obviously some kind of quadrupedal pokémon, lashes out at his face. The gear goes flying from his hand and skitters across the ground, turning off upon impact with something but not before there's a tremendous crash, the sound of breaking glass, and a surprised cry from the young man in the alley. Seems trouble follows him wherever he goes.]
freezetheskies: (lecture incoming)
[Evening, Johto. Have a sniffly sound as something sniffs at the gear and manages to turn it on, then show an orange-furred face and the sun setting behind it. No sign of a trainer, though. Not for a while, at least, but after the Growlithe turns over its shoulder and barks, its trainer finally shows himself.

All four foot four inches of him, anyway; this might be a familiar face to some, what with the white hair and black clothing that is doing absolutely nothing to keep the heat at bay right now. Nor is it making it easy to move as the Growlithe picks up the gear in its mouth, teeth turning it to audio in time to hear one very annoyed Hitsugaya over the whining noises it's making.]

Bring that back. Now.

[More puppy whining, footsteps, and then what can only be a tumble before the Growlithe yelps in alarm as there's the sound of a scuffle. Barely a moment after that, the feed comes back onto video as Hitsugaya wipes the screen clear of puppy drool and stares down at it. If he seems a bit pink, it's because of the heat, really. He hates the heat, and the squirming puppy he's holding in one arm isn't helping matters any. It is a fire type after all.]

Would I be correct in assuming it's no longer March, or is Johto simply in the middle of a heat wave?

[If he's going to say anything else, it's cut off by the puppy squirming more and attempting to lick his chin, which forces him to adjust his grip before it can wriggle free. He's quiet for a moment after that, just looking back at the gear, then as if telling himself that now is as good a time as any...]

Ise, Momo, if either of you are still here...I'd appreciate it if you call me back.

[End feed, but not before the puppy jumps from his hold and bolts off, yipping playfully the entire way. He'll be busy, at least.]
