oo2 [Video/Action for Goldenrod] {backdated to sunset}
--can't believe this...where's that map...
[Evening, Johto. It's about sunset as the video comes on, though it's pretty much by total accident. The owner of this gear, one obviously rumpled and tired Toushiro Hitsugaya, doesn't even notice the thing is recording as he tries to get the map from his bag. Of course, it's useless in the back alleys of Goldenrod, which is where he appears to, and judging from the expression on the face of his Golduck standing behind him, they're lost.
Yep. His sense of direction in a town this large that he's never been to, is absolute crap and he knows it if the expression on his face says anything about that.]
We'll have to turn back. Come on.
[He turns to leave the alleyway and retrace their steps, Golduck right behind him and the flashes of orange fur at his ankle showing his Growlithe is right at his side. But then the puppy stops suddenly, turning to the entrance of another alleyway that the sun is just shining through, growls, and darts into it before her trainer can grab her.]
Hey---tch.
[He chases after his Growlithe, only to stop when he gets halfway to her and appears to see something from the corner of his eye. He turns his head, but before either he or anyone watching can see what caught his attention, a cream streak darts out from the shadows and his Growlithe starts barking again.
Of course, it's too late to do anything about that, and Hitsugaya loses his footing as the streak, obviously some kind of quadrupedal pokémon, lashes out at his face. The gear goes flying from his hand and skitters across the ground, turning off upon impact with something but not before there's a tremendous crash, the sound of breaking glass, and a surprised cry from the young man in the alley. Seems trouble follows him wherever he goes.]

{Action}
I'll hold you to that.
[Or fish her out of trouble, if he can. Right now, however, he's just dusting himself off and limping forward. He kinda wants out of the alley now.]
It's nothing to worry about. I've survived worse.
{Action}
Lieutenant's promise.
{Looking at that limp... and scowling, she reaches out and pulls him onto her lap WHOOPS SORRY.}
You're only going to make it worse by walking on it. Even you know that. So just stay sitting, and we'll get this done with a minimum of fuss.
{Keeping an arm around his waist to keep him there.}
{Action}
Because this is just embarrassing and ridiculous and unnecessary and---and his Growlithe is whimpering and trying to get up there with him before he can even say anything. It's enough to get him to cancel any plans of struggling this time, though he's still tense about it even as Golduck plunks the fire-puppy down on his lap and he's forced to hold still. This is why he hates letting others see him hurt; everyone makes a fuss about it.]
Fine. Let's just get this over with.
{Action}
{As far as she's concerned, he's just another one of her not!children at the moment, and so he'll be treated as such - awkward moments such as this just come as standard.}
As you wish, Hitsugaya-san. Besides, how many days have you been walking?
{Never mind that she can't actually see where she's going. She's got Kiyone to be her eyes.}
{Action}
Since I got back. I didn't stop for long in Cherrygrove or Violet.
[Yeeep. He's been walking practically non-stop for almost three weeks. No wonder he looks so worn out, though he doesn't seem to care, really.
And if Kiyone's her eyes, Golduck is her rear guard; nothing's getting past him when he's around!]
{Action}
That's certainly impressive - I don't think I'd be able to do such a thing.
{Poor little shota - and ow, that was a definite bump}
{Together they are the best bodyguards in all of Johto!}
{Action}
You'd be surprised what you might be capable of, Ise. Especially if you're driven by something.
[Okay, ouch. Whoever paved these streets is getting a Growlithe to bite their ankles if icy shota here ever finds 'em.]
[The best bodyguards in all the worlds, even! No alley cats with a taste for blood have followed them out, at least. People will look at them because they're certainly one odd looking procession.]
{Action}
...I suppose you're right.
{And turning a corner sloooowly - the last thing she wants to do is tip over.}
{Good Pokemon, best frands! 'A' And she'll just glance over at them. Y u judgin'?}
{Action}
If your captain showed up here, can you honestly say you wouldn't get to him as fast as you could?
[Just...subtly leaning his weight in the direction opposite that they're turning. Counterbalance and all that!
Aaaand now they're looking away. Could be due to either Golduck's hissing or Nanao's looks, but still. No more judgin'!]
{Action}
I would - unless he ordered me not to.
{She notices that, and appreciates it muchly.}
{She nods, and turns another corner, and oh look, the Pokemon Center's within sight!}
{Action}
And I doubt it would take you the entire month to get back down to New Bark if he didn't order you to stay put.
[He wouldn't be surprised if it took only two weeks, at that point.
And, yay, pokémon center! ...sort of. He really doesn't care much for hospitals or healer's wards, and it probably shows on his face as they get closer. The nurses are gonna kill him, aren't they?]
{Action}
{Yep, she read his mind.}
{...she's not going to see him for two hours. Dems NPC nurses be thorough.}
{Action}
[She's good at that, really.
Thorough and already on their way over the second Nanao gets them inside the door. Like sharks to fresh blood in the water, really.]
...You might not want to wait here, Ise. I doubt it'll be quick.
{Action}
{She's had a while to practise it.}
{And she will relinquish him to them, and wheel over to a slightly out of the way spot to wait for him.}
{Action}
And hopefully she's got plenty of time, because it's nearly an hour and a half before he finally reappears, hobbling on crutches with one nurse behind him, telling him how to care for that ankle and making sure he minds the bandages. Because there are a lot of those, and if the look on her face is anything to go by, the nurse doesn't want to see him back in here till they're no longer needed. They've enough patients as it is, after all.
When she finally finishes and returns to whatever she'd been doing before hand, Hitsugaya will just be hobbling over, seemingly in a hurry to leave the building. Yeeep. Someone wants out. Badly.]
{Action}
Do you want to go to the hotel or my house?
{Action}
Of course, he wasn't expecting to bust an ankle, so...Yeeep. Just like he thought. Not enough for even one night at the hotel. Great.]
....If you still have room and you'll have me, your house would be preferable.
[Otherwise he's marching right onto the route to Ilex Forest and sleeping in a tree. He's done that before.]
{Action}
You might have to room with someone - I have two other people staying with me, but it should be okay.
{Looking worriedly at his ankle, and then back at his face, and then down again, and then to Kiyone.}
It's a fair walk - I could have Kiyone teleport us back if it's going to be too much of a strain on your ankle.
{Action}
And, frankly, so long as there's a roof, he's fine with roommates at the moment. What he's not fine with is the idea of teleporting, so he'll just be setting off now. Really, he's fine.]
I'll manage. I'd prefer to learn the way sooner rather than later, anyway.
{Action}
If you're sure, Captain...
{Kiyone shrugs, disappearing back to the house, and Nanao wheels forward and down onto the street proper.}
{Action}
Would I be doing this if I wasn't?
[...rhetorical question, that one; right now he's just waiting for her to lead the way, really. He's not steeling himself for what is most likely a long walk. Absolutely not.]
{Action}
{But shrugging, and slowly starting to roll down the road - and he's doing well to steel himself, it's a looooong walk home for someone on crutches.}
