oo7 [Action for Violet City/Text]

[It's supposed to be a quiet night for Violet City, now that the attack on the Trainer's School has passed, but that quiet is about to shattered by a very loud cry sometime after midnight. It's loudest near the Pokémon Center doors, and anyone who looks in that direction or is nearby will see the cause. It's a Blastoise, one that's looking mighty depressed and rather annoyed at something, though that look is mirrored on Hitsugaya's face. Who would send him one of these in the middle of the night?

That looks stays on his face even as he raises his gear to scan the creature, but when he realizes who's this is, his face falls. He recognizes the trainer ID he's getting in connection to this Blastoise as someone he knows. Someone he never expected to vanish. But isn't it always that way? Aren't the disappearences always sudden and without warning?]

...You idiot.

[Who's he talking to? Hard to say, and the Blastoise soon rumbles off with him in pursuit down various streets and alleys. Good luck running into them in the pitch black night now.

Come morning for those of you in Violet, however, that Blastoise is going to be in the pond near Sprout Tower, and it doesn't appear that he's going anywhere anytime soon, because his new trainer is definitely not moving something that big. At least the Magikarp are still swimming around, though...flopping fish would not help.

For the rest of Johto, there's only this text. Someone has to say it, after all.]

I hadn't talked to her in quite some time, but I didn't think she would leave so suddenly...

No one thinks anyone will leave so suddenly, no matter how many times we see it happen.

For several months. I'm not certain that would count as a "long time", to some people.

I think for this place a few months IS quite a long time.
As for me, I knew her since she first arrived...

I suppose. But is it really that long to those who have been here for a year or longer?

As someone who has been here for almost two years now, I definitely think a few months is still a significant amount of time!

I met here back in October, so... I think she was at six months?

Will you still think that way if you return home and find that none of that time has passed while you were here? If it was barely a moment there no matter how long you were away?

She outlasted a lot of people, then. Not that it made a difference in the end.

As long as I remember the time I spent here, even if my age rolls back or I lose some experience... I'll still consider everyone I knew for even just a month to be significant.

Well, then. This is interesting.

{Hannibal, who had been on the verge of dozing off, is now fully awake. With the cutest battlecry, she charges after the Blastoise and boy!}

{....she may accidentally knock them over.}

[Babbeh elephant, knock over a tortoise that big? ...yeah not happening. And since Hitsugaya kind of sort of recognizes that squeaky cry, he manages to stop in time to avoid getting bowled over and watches as Hannibal charges right into the Blastoise's legs. Stops him from the shock of it, at least. Don't get squished, Hannibal!

As for Hitsugaya himself, well, he's just turning to see Nanao standing there, not moving from where he is. Seems almost a little...nervous, doesn't he?]

{Hannibal's okay, she just kind of... bounces off the Blastoise's leg and lands on her behind. WOW YOU'RE BIG.}

{Meanwhile, Nanao jogs over, bird firmly ensconced on her shoulder. What are you going to say to her, sonthing?}

[The Blastoise will in turn be peering down at her, attention most definitely now down at this teeny elephant that barely knocked into his leg. YOU'RE A TINY THING, AREN'T YOU.

Hitsugaya just stays where he stands, just breathing as she gets closer. As for what he's going to say? ...What can he say? That he's glad she's here? That he missed her more than he thought he would? That he's sorry he was a naive and idiotic brat before? All of the above? He'd mean any one of them, but words are failing him right now. So he doesn't say a word and just looks to her, arms crossed over his chest. What does he do? He doesn't know.]

{YES I AM and what is your name, oh great big blue thing?}

{She draws up, exhales, and smiles.}

[Hitsugaya's back had stiffened the faintest amount, expecting something else, a lecture or something, and that was--not the first thing he thought she would say. Well. Enjoy the surprised look on his face, Nanao. It lasts a bit longer than normal before it's gone this time. He just looks away afterwards, and he may just be smiling a little while doing so. Some things never change.]
